    ( reviews)
    Availability: In Stock

From the little known region of Itata in Chile, this wine is made by the wonderful Leonardo Erazo Lynch who wanted to return to his native Itata in search of wines of real terroir and authenticity. This Carignan is made with organic and biodynamic grapes and with very low sulphur levels. On the nose it has a lovely truffley, roasted meat aroma with dark brooding fruit behind. The palate shows a delightful savoury spice and hints of liquorice as it opens up. Try this with grouse or roasted peppers.

    Sur lie – Brut Nature

An impressive component of the Valdobbiadene tradition and part of our family since the early 1900s, Col Fondo owes its name to the yeast activity. Once the yeast has consumed all the sugar in the grape must, its cells form a sediment (the fondo) on the bottom of the bottle, which over time contributes to an intriguing evolution of the wine.
